School Year Institute Productions and Performance Intensives
There will be at least four performance opportunities each school year for Institute students only. They are held at the Plaza Theatre. Every Institute student who wishes to be cast in a performance program will be placed in at least one designed for their grade or level. Students may participate in more than one performance program if desired and cast. Additional tuition applies to each program. Callbacks for all performance programs are in September. Rehearsals for all programs are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4PM to 8PM or 9PM (see schedule). Students not involved on stage may be selected to learn and work behind-the-scenes in various capacities. (Summer musicals are still open to everyone. They are not exclusive to Institute students.)

Winter and Spring Productions
For students Level 2 and above. Rehearsals are 6 to 8 weeks, the shows run for 3 weekends and have professional directors and designers of costumes, sets, lights, sound and props. The emphasis is on the performer, not elaborate sets or costumes.

The winter production is a play or musical for our most advanced actors. The age range will depend upon the show selected. The spring musical is for level 2 and above students in grades 6-9 and principal roles may be double cast. Students may be cast both productions although it is not common. The winter play runs in mid-January and the spring musical will run in early March. Tuition is $400

Performance and Writing and Composing Intensives
Performance Intensives have professional directors and rehearse in a 3 to 4 week timeframe. The emphasis is on the performer, not costumes or sets requiring professional designers. Tuition is $320

Company Originals: For level 2 students and above. By interview and audition. This program will take various shapes from year to year depending on the writing and teaching artists we commission. There will typically be two ways to be involved: as writers and composers and/or as actor/creator. The program meets and rehearses in April and May and a performance will take place the weekend before Memorial Day.

Level 1/2 Performance Intensive: This performance experience is for all Level 1 and selected Level 2 students, rehearses in May and runs the first weekend in June. This Intensive will be customized for students to build specific performance skills to help move them to the next level.
