THE SPACE: On the main floor, new raked, telescoping seats rest on top of a sprung dance floor. When the seats are retracted to the wall, the room becomes a large flat-floor studio or can be split into two classrooms. In performance, the seats are mechanically deployed into a traditional, raked configuration. Additionally, the new flat main floor can be re-configured for cabaret productions, reception space, and special events along with a traditional theatre environment.
The Everett Youth Education Center features an intimate theatre, classrooms and office space:
155 telescoping formal theatre seats; 170 total, including portable and ADA seating
Optional configurations of the main floor to include banquet and cabaret seating
Three studio spaces with sprung floors and mirrors to accommodate rehearsals and classes
Two classrooms downstairs
Dressing rooms for up to 36 actors, including an ADA accessible dressing room
Green Room
Bistro café, Under the Red Umbrella, will provide services and outdoor seating areas once the Plaza is complete
